This page explains how to delete your ShieldScan account and the data associated with it.

App: ShieldScan Android package: com.mokaio.shieldscan

1. Delete Your Account in the App

If the account deletion option is available in your installed version of ShieldScan:

  1. Open ShieldScan.
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Open the account or settings area.
  4. Select the Delete Account option.
  5. Review the warning and confirm the deletion request.

6. Complete any identity-verification step shown by the app.

2. Request Deletion Through the Web

If you cannot access the app or cannot use the in-app deletion option, submit an account deletion request through: https://mokaio.store/support/shieldscan

In your request:

  • State clearly that you want to delete your ShieldScan account.
  • Provide the email address associated with the ShieldScan account.
  • Do not send your password, wallet seed phrase, wallet private key, or one-time authentication code.

We may request reasonable verification before deleting account-associated data.

3. Data Deleted With Your ShieldScan Account

Subject to the exceptions below, deletion of your ShieldScan account includes deletion or de-identification of ShieldScan-controlled data associated with the account, which may include:

  • Account/profile data.
  • Saved scan history.
  • Watchlist entries.
  • Alert preferences.
  • App preferences stored with the account.
  • Usage/quota records associated with the account.
  • ShieldScan-side subscription/entitlement profile information that is no longer necessary to provide the service.

4. Data That May Not Be Deleted by ShieldScan

Some information may be retained or remain available where ShieldScan does not control the underlying record or retention is necessary, including:

  • Google Play purchase and billing records maintained by Google.
  • Subscription transaction or entitlement records maintained by RevenueCat where subject to provider or legal retention requirements.
  • Records required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or regulatory reasons.
  • Temporary backup copies until overwritten through normal backup-retention cycles.
  • Public blockchain information. ShieldScan cannot erase data from public blockchain networks.
  • Public token or market information maintained by independent third-party services.

Any retained information will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

5. Important: Account Deletion Does Not Automatically Cancel Google Play Subscriptions

Deleting your ShieldScan account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.

If you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it separately through Google Play using the Google account that made the purchase.

6. What Happens After Deletion

After account deletion is completed:

  • You may lose access to saved ShieldScan data and account-specific features.
  • Deleted account data may not be recoverable.
  • If you later create a new account, previous account data may not be restored.
  • Purchase restoration, where supported, remains subject to Google Play and RevenueCat records and the account identities involved.
