ShieldScan Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShieldScan mobile application and related services ("ShieldScan", the "App", the "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By using ShieldScan, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ShieldScan.

1. What ShieldScan Does

ShieldScan is an informational crypto-token risk research tool. It may provide token-security indicators, smart-contract risk signals, scan results, token information, watchlists, histories, alerts, and related research features.

ShieldScan does not:

• Provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice.
• Guarantee that any token, smart contract, project, or transaction is safe.
• Guarantee that a token identified as lower risk will remain safe.
• Guarantee that every scam, vulnerability, malicious contract, market risk, or security issue will be detected.
• Operate as a cryptocurrency exchange, broker, custodian, or wallet.
• Hold, transfer, or control cryptocurrency or other funds.

2. No Financial or Investment Advice

All information provided through ShieldScan is for general informational and research purposes only.

Crypto assets and smart contracts can involve substantial risk. Risk scores, labels, security indicators, market information, alerts, and scan results are not recommendations to buy, sell, hold, transfer, or interact with any asset.

You are solely responsible for your own research, decisions, transactions, and losses.

3. Accounts

Some ShieldScan features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information where required, keep account credentials secure, and not use accounts to bypass quotas, subscriptions, or security controls.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Use ShieldScan for unlawful activity.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, exploit, or interfere with ShieldScan or its backend services, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Circumvent plan limits, access controls, rate limits, or subscription checks.
• Use automation, scraping, or abusive request patterns that materially impair the Service.
• Submit malicious content intended to attack our systems or service providers.
• Misrepresent ShieldScan results as guaranteed security certification.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, infrastructure, or legal compliance.

5. Scan Results and Third-Party Data

ShieldScan may use information obtained from public blockchains and third-party data/security services, including GoPlus Security and DexScreener.

Third-party information may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice. Blockchain conditions, token contracts, ownership, liquidity, permissions, and other risk factors can also change after a scan.

A ShieldScan result reflects information available at the time of analysis and must not be treated as a permanent certification of safety.

6. Subscriptions and Paid Features

ShieldScan may offer free and paid features.

Where subscriptions are purchased through Google Play:

• Billing is processed by Google Play.
• Prices, taxes, renewal terms, payment methods, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the applicable Google Play terms and information shown at purchase.
• Subscription entitlement and purchase status may be managed through RevenueCat.
• Recurring subscriptions may renew according to the terms shown by Google Play unless cancelled under the applicable store rules.

You can manage or cancel a Google Play subscription through your Google Play account.

Deleting your ShieldScan account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

7. Intellectual Property

ShieldScan, including its software, branding, interface, graphics, original text, and other original materials, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for rights expressly granted to you to use the App, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

Third-party names, services, market data, trademarks, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Availability and Changes

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for product, security, technical, legal, or business reasons.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Third-party services, blockchain networks, hosting providers, app stores, and external APIs can become unavailable independently of ShieldScan.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShieldScan is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not warrant that:

• Scan results will identify every risk.
• Data will always be complete, accurate, current, or available.
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Use of the Service will prevent financial loss, fraud, scams, malicious contracts, or security incidents.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShieldScan and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or speculative damages arising from use of or inability to use ShieldScan, including losses related to cryptocurrency transactions, token value, investment decisions, third-party data, or malicious smart contracts.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using ShieldScan at any time and may request account deletion.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, malicious activity, security threats, or legal requirements.

13. Account Deletion

If you have an active Google Play subscription, deleting your ShieldScan account does not itself cancel that subscription. Manage it separately through Google Play.

14. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If local law requires consent from a parent or legal guardian, you may use ShieldScan only with that consent.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to ShieldScan, applicable law, security requirements, or third-party services. The effective date above identifies the current version.
