These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FileHub Android application and related services. By using FileHub, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

FileHub is a file workspace that may provide local file viewing, editing, conversion, archive handling, OCR, scanning, media and document tools, optional cloud features, and optional AI-assisted OCR features.

2. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FileHub in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, abuse, or interfere with FileHub except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. Your files and content

You retain ownership of the files and content you use with FileHub. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions necessary to access, edit, convert, scan, extract, upload, share, or otherwise process that content.

4. Local-first storage and backups

FileHub is designed to process many tasks locally. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important files. FileHub is not a backup guarantee, and we are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, storage corruption, operating-system behavior, user deletion, third-party applications, or events outside our reasonable control.

5. OCR, conversion, and AI output

OCR, conversion, document parsing, spreadsheet processing, archive handling, and AI-assisted output may contain errors or formatting differences. You should review important output before relying on it. AI OCR is provided for convenience and is not guaranteed to reproduce source material perfectly.

6. BYOK features

If you use your own Gemini, OpenAI, or other supported API key, you are responsible for that provider account, its billing, quotas, data handling, and compliance with its terms. FileHub is not responsible for charges or actions imposed by a third-party provider on your own account.

7. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. You must provide accurate information where required and must not use FileHub to impersonate another person or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.

8. Subscriptions and purchases

Paid FileHub plans may be offered through Google Play. Prices, billing cycles, taxes, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are handled according to Google Play's applicable terms. FileHub may use RevenueCat or similar infrastructure to verify and manage subscription entitlements.

Deleting your FileHub account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription separately through Google Play.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use FileHub to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malware, bypass security controls, unlawfully access data, abuse third-party services, or interfere with FileHub's operation.

10. Third-party services

Some features depend on third-party services such as Google Play, RevenueCat, authentication/backend providers, Google Gemini, OpenAI when selected, or other platform services. Their availability and behavior are outside FileHub's full control and may be governed by separate terms.

11. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, product improvement, or service operation. We do not guarantee that every file format, device, or third-party service will always behave identically.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FileHub is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, universal file compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FileHub and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of files, profits, data, business, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Termination

You may stop using FileHub at any time and may request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FileHub after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

16. Contact

For questions about these Terms, use the official FileHub Support page or the developer contact information shown on FileHub's Google Play listing.
