Archiva Account Deletion and Local Data

MokaIO · Archive Management

Archiva

Local-first Windows archive manager for opening, creating, extracting, previewing, editing, converting, comparing, and testing supported archives.

Archiva is designed as a local-first Windows desktop application and does not require you to create a separate Archiva or MokaIO account for normal use.

Because Archiva does not create an Archiva user account, there is normally no Archiva account to delete.

Microsoft Account and Store Purchases

If you install Archiva or purchase Archiva Pro Lifetime through Microsoft Store, that purchase is associated with your Microsoft account, not with an Archiva account controlled by MokaIO.

MokaIO cannot delete your Microsoft account or directly erase Microsoft's Store transaction history.

For Microsoft-account privacy, purchase-history, or account-deletion requests, use Microsoft's official account and privacy tools.

Deleting or uninstalling Archiva does not automatically cancel, refund, or erase a Microsoft Store purchase entitlement.

Removing Archiva From Your Device

To remove Archiva:

  1. Open Windows Settings.
  2. Go to Apps → Installed apps.
  3. Find Archiva.

4. Choose **Uninstall**.

You can also uninstall Archiva through Microsoft Store where supported.

Removing Local Archiva Data

Archiva may create local application data such as:

  • preferences and settings;
  • recent archive references;
  • local caches;
  • preview workspace files;
  • search/index metadata;
  • recovery metadata;
  • operation history or local diagnostic information;
  • locally cached licensing state.

Uninstalling a packaged Microsoft Store application normally removes the application's package-managed local data according to Windows behavior.

If you have used a development, portable, or unpackaged build, additional local Archiva folders may remain on the device. These can be removed manually after Archiva is fully closed if you no longer need recovery data or settings.

Common local Archiva data may be stored under locations associated with Windows application data, for example directories under your user profile's local application-data area.

Before deleting local Archiva data manually, make sure:

  • Archiva is fully closed;
  • no archive operation is running;
  • you do not need any pending recovery information;
  • you have backups of important files.

Your Archives and Extracted Files

Deleting Archiva does not delete ordinary archives, folders, or extracted files that you saved elsewhere on your computer.

Those files remain your responsibility and must be deleted separately if you wish to remove them.

Remembered Archive Passwords

If you explicitly choose to remember archive credentials, Archiva may use supported Windows credential-storage facilities.

If you want to remove remembered credentials, use Archiva's applicable settings where available or Windows credential-management tools.
